Giving Back is Part of Our Fairytale
Making our corner of the world a little kinder, one paw at a time.
At Modern Day Snow White, caring for animals has always been about more than providing exceptional pet care. It's about compassion, connection, and finding meaningful ways to give back to the communities that have supported us.
Since opening our doors in 2022, we've had the privilege of serving wonderful families, building lasting relationships, and turning our love for animals into opportunities to make a difference.
From supporting local animal rescues and bringing therapy dogs into schools to organizing donation drives and traveling across state lines to help shelters affected by natural disasters, giving back is woven into everything we do.
Because we believe happily ever after isn't just something you wish for.
It's something you help create.
Annual Birthday Blanket Drive
What started as a birthday wish has become a favorite annual tradition! Each year, our founder, Kat, celebrates by collecting blankets for shelter animals in need. Now in its fourth year, our 2026 drive aims to collect 38 new blankets for each of two local shelters: Livingston County Animal Shelter and the Humane Society of Huron Valley.

Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan
We're proud to volunteer with Golden Retriever Rescue of Michigan, supporting their mission of helping dogs find loving forever homes. Every rescue has a story, and we're grateful to play a small part in helping more dogs begin their next chapter.

Supporting Local School Therapy Dogs
We believe in the incredible bond between children and animals! For the past several years, we've had the privilege of helping care for three of South Lyon Community Schools' therapy dogs, supporting the special role they play in bringing comfort, companionship, and smiles to students.

Hurricane Helene Animal Relief
Following Hurricane Helene in 2024, we loaded a U-Haul with donated supplies and traveled from Michigan to the Asheville, North Carolina area to help rural animal shelters affected by the storm. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we were able to deliver much-needed resources to animals and the people caring for them.
